The sounds of a world crashing down, is London UK’s Catastrophe’s debut LP “Cries From the Gutter”. Part of an extremely slow roll out (all by accident) this record was orignally released digitally in 2025, and earlier this year in europe on Symphony of Destruction records. Inspired both by 80’s anarcho punk and 80’s british hardcore punk, Catastrophe shows ties between the climate the inspired these bands, and today’s current climate: Ripe with inequality and exploitation in many forms. Catastrophe contexualizes the past and the present throughout their music and influences to create music that isn’t stuck in the past but addresses the reality we see everyday: Modern influences + briitsh punk rooted in tradition: Completely ripping and real.
